Risk management, data quality, technical documentation, event logging, and human oversight are required. If the system is incorporated into regulated products, the transition will be extended until <strong>August 2, 2027<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Limited risk: Mandatory transparency from August 2, 2026.<\/strong><\/strong><br>If AI creates or substantially modifies content that is potentially misleading, it must be reported. Simple photo editing, such as removing a background, does not require labeling, but if synthetic content is generated, transparency is required, and metadata must indicate its origin. Chatbots must make it clear that they are AI systems, not real people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Minimal risk<\/strong><\/strong>: No additional specific obligations and no dedicated deadlines beyond the applicable general regulations. This includes most current applications, such as spam filters or AI functions in video games.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>General Purpose Models (GPAI): Transparency obligations from<\/strong> <strong>August 2, 2025<\/strong>.<br>Models already on the market before this date must comply by <strong>August 2, 2027<\/strong>. They are not a &#8220;risk level,&#8221; but have dedicated rules because they support so many use cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The real challenge is not just meeting the AI \u200b\u200bAct deadlines, <strong>but building AI governance that strengthens customer trust.<\/strong> When a company must label its promotional images or website content as &#8220;artificially generated,&#8221; <strong>it risks conveying a perception of less authenticity and care.<\/strong> Those managing digital content and data have the opportunity to <strong>anticipate these scenarios<\/strong> by immediately organizing processes, responsibilities, and strategic controls that avoid trade-offs between compliance and corporate reputation, <strong>transforming regulatory obligations into competitive advantage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"etichettare-i-contenuti-generati-dallintelligenza-artificiale\">Labeling AI-generated content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The AI \u200b\u200bAct introduces <a href=\"https:\/\/artificialintelligenceact.eu\/article\/50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transparency and <strong>marking<\/strong><\/a> requirements: outputs must be <strong>marked<\/strong> clearly, whether they are text, images, audio, or video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deepfakes (content where AI replaces one person&#8217;s face or voice with that of another) must be <strong>labeled<\/strong> and, where technically possible, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/RegData\/etudes\/BRIE\/2023\/757583\/EPRS_BRI%282023%29757583_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">given a <strong>digital watermark<\/strong><\/a> that machines can recognize. This helps track the content throughout its lifecycle, from creation to distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To accompany the adoption, the Commission published the <a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/en\/policies\/contents-code-gpai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>General-Purpose AI Code of Practice<\/strong><\/a> (10 July 2025) and <a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/en\/policies\/guidelines-gpai-providers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Guidelines<\/strong><\/a> to clarify when and how obligations apply to GPAI providers (31 July 2025). The Code does not replace the law, but is a <strong>voluntary tool<\/strong> for demonstrating compliance; the guidelines specify its purpose and operational expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"thron-per-l-accessibilita\"><strong><strong><strong>Italian AI Act: What does the law provide?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>September 2025<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/italy-enacts-ai-law-covering-privacy-oversight-child-access-2025-09-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Italy approved a national law<\/a> that <strong>supports<\/strong> the AI \u200b\u200bAct with <strong>coordination<\/strong> and <strong>supervision<\/strong> measures, tasking the <strong>Agency for Digital Italy (AgID)<\/strong> and the <strong>National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN)<\/strong> with implementing the legislation. A <strong>1 billion euro fund<\/strong> is also planned to support AI and cybersecurity in the country.
